Children's Technology

The Children's Room is equipped with computers and other technology to help learning and enhance fun for all ages and purposes.

In the Children's Room we have early learning computer stations called AWE. These are pre-loaded with educational games and software to enhance literacy skills, reading and math skills and are not connected to the internet. When do ask that children be limited to a 30 minute session especially if others are waiting to use these computers.

Homework Laptops

Adults may checkout laptops for in-house use for their students. Laptops circulate for 2 hour limit with a 1 hour renewal and must stay in the building.  These are currently not available at this time.

Launchpad Learning Tablets for Kids

These sturdy pre-loaded tablets are ad-free, high-quality interactive learning perfect for ages 3 and up.  Tablets must be checked out by adults.  Please NEVER return these in the book drop but always bring to circulation.

Playaways

MP3 players pre-loaded with audio-books!  Listen on the move with headphones or an auxiliary cord.   AAA battery required, not included.  

Wonderbooks

Our newest format offers the beauty of print and the convenience of audio in one binding.  Read-a-long with the audio and answer questions in the learning mode.   These charge with a micro USB cord, not included.
