    Come and join us in our celebration of the holiday season. There will be food, music, fellowship, and visit from a certain Jolly old elf. We invite you all to come and experience the hospitality the Bethesda Community has to offer. Beginning at Noon and running through the entire day. Noon to 2 p.m. will be our Food and Fun Group doing a $5 maximum dirty Santa gift exchange, Christmas Trivia, and wear your ugly sweater. 3:00-5:00 p.m. Our Friends of the Library will be meeting to enjoy the season, and discuss next year’s plans. From 4:30-6:30, Santa will be here to read to the kids, and let parents get some pictures. If you would like to help by suppling a hors d'oeuvre, please email us at bethesda.library@williamsoncounty-tn.gov.

  3. Reading Merit Badge Class

    December 12, 2019, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

    A registered merit badge councilor will begin a three month class for Reading Merit Badge. If you're in a Scouts BSA program, come out and work on a fun and entertaining merit badge. We will meet once a month and you must attend all three meetings to complete the requirements unless you make other arrangements with the councilor. YPT trained, two deep leadership will be provided, but parents are welcome to stay as always.

  4. Literary Ladies Book Club - News of the World

    The December book is News of the World by Paulette Giles. Captain Jefferson Kyle Kidd travels through northern Texas, giving live readings from newspapers to paying audiences hungry for news of the world. In Wichita Falls, he is offered a $50 gold piece to deliver a young orphan, a former Indian captive, to her relatives in San Antonio, 400 miles away. The Literary Ladies Book Club meets the third Monday of each month in the Board Room of the main branch at the Franklin location. The Board Room is on the second floor of the library. The book group reads all genres and non-fiction too! We welcome new members.
