Neal and Susan Ramsay will be sharing their musical talents with Christmas music in the rotunda on the first floor of the Main Library in Franklin. Come enjoy the delightful performance on December 10 from 2 to 3 p.m.
Neal Ramsay is a concert saxophonist, who has toured nationally as a Columbia Artist, and has performed five concerts as a soloist in Carnegie Hall. He has also performed at the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, and on National Public Radio. He has been awarded grants from the National Endowment of the Arts, and the Kellogg Foundation. He was the winner of the Tennessee Arts Commission Competition for Outstanding Solo Artists. He also specializes in arranging, composing, and recording.
Susan Ramsay is a retired public school music teacher; a musician and a storyteller. She performs in several hammer dulcimer ensembles and gives private lessons on the instrument.
The Ramsays often perform as a duo, combining their interests and abilities in both concert and folk music.
