Members of the local Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter and Old Glory chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution worked together to create a display featuring Vietnam War relics and photos of some of Williamson County’s Vietnam Veterans who received their Vietnam War Commemoration lapel pin at one of the DAR’s commemoration ceremonies.
The display is located in the vestibule at the Williamson County Library, at 1314 Columbia Ave. in Franklin.
The display has literature for veterans and is a reminder of the two events on March 29 for National Vietnam War Veterans Day the two organizations are hosting. The VVA will have a program at the Williamson County Archives from 9-10:30 a.m.
The DAR is hosting a Vietnam Veteran Commemoration Lapel Pinning ceremony from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Williamson county Enrichment Center.
The display will be up through May 28
