Come and say hi to Sparky. Grab a firefighter hat and take your photo with him. Tag us with #wcpltn and the City of Franklin Fire Department with #FranklinFire. We would love to see your family having fun at the Library and promoting Fire Prevention Week. Sparky the Fire House Dog is made of fiberglass and on loan from Franklin Fire Department for the month of October.
During your visit pick up important fire safety information, & fun free goodies to keep and share with your family.
Fire Prevention Week is October 5-8, 2021. The Franklin Fire Department is holding a Chalk Art Contest for artists of all ages in honor of the occasion. To enter for a chance to win one of three $100 gift cards, from Atmos Energy, pick up your free chalk at the Main Library and create your original outdoor art at home to illustrate the 2021 Fire Prevention Week theme, “Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety!” For ideas/rules visit www.franklintn.gov/FirePreventionWeek. Take a pic of it then share it on the City of Franklin’s Facebook page with the hashtag #FranklinFire. The entry deadline is 11:59 P.M. Sunday, October 24, 2021. Winners will be announced the following week. The FREE sidewalk chalk is made available by Atmos Energy.
