Join the newest book club at WCPLS - for True Crime Enthusiasts. The meetings are held at the Main branch of the Williamson County Library in the Learning Center on the second floor. We meet monthly on a Tuesday evening.
In our third meeting, we will discuss The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair That Changed America by Erik Larson.
This No. 1 New York Times bestseller is about the architect who led the construction of the great Chicago World’s Fair of 1893, and also about the prolific serial killer who used the fair as a lure. The killer built a hotel of horrors just blocks from the fair, offering his guests much more than anticipated. The book won an Edgar Award for best fact-crime writing and was a finalist for a National Book Award.
Registration is required for new book club members.
