Join local beekeeper and bee expert Jim Garrison for an overview of backyard beekeeping and discuss bee-friendly plants. He will also report on what is happening to our bees in Tennessee.
Jim has a Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University and a Doctorate in Educational Administration from Virginia Tech. He has been a financial advisor for 38 years. A third-generation beekeeper, Jim has served as President of the Tennessee Beekeepers Association for 6 years. He organized the Beekeepers of Middle Tennessee 21 years ago and has been its President for the past 17 years. Jim lives in Chapel Hill, TN. He and his wife Sandra have two grown children and two grandchildren.
