Join our meeting of the True Crime book club at WCPLS. The monthly meetings are held at the Main branch of the Williamson County Library in the second floor Learning Center on the last Tuesday of each month.
For our August meeting, we will discuss In Cold Blood by Truman Capote. First published in 1966, the book details the 1959 murders of the Clutter family in Kansas. With fellow author and friend Harper Lee, thousands of pages of notes were taken from interviews of residents and investigators. The second best-selling true crime book, In Cold Blood, was an instant success. The triple narrative of the lives of the victims, the murderers, and others in the rural community along with all-encompassing detail and expressive prose makes this book one of the pioneers in the True Crime genre.
We ask new members to register so we may be able to reach out to you with discussion guides, reminders, and any supplemental information.
