    Learn to borrow eBooks and eAudiobooks from the Library with the R.E.A.D.S. database app for FREE! Library staff will introduce you to the free OverDrive Media Console app and show you how to download and use it.   2. Introduction to Word I

    This class is for people with limited experience using word processing software. Participants will become familiar with the Word 2016 Ribbon, learn the basic MS Word tools, how to create, save and print documents, basic formatting commands, and how to cut and paste text. This is not a typing or keyboarding class. *Prerequisites: “Introduction to the Computer” or the equivalent skills. All Library programs are free and open to the public.   5. No Limits STEM Workshop – Session 1 @ Main Library

    Williamson County 4-H instructor Jennifer Hartsell Stockdale will lead this girls-only No Limits STEM workshop funded by a grant from Mercedes-Benz USA and Mattel. Girls ages 8-12 are encouraged to come engage in hands-on STEM activities commemorating the first female winner of the Grand Prix automobile race, Ewy Rosqvist. Each participant will receive a Matchbox replica of Ewy’s car! #girlshavenolimits Mercedes-Benz USA and Mattel have teamed up to show children, particularly young girls, that they can aspire to be and do anything they desire. There are no limits. Williamson County 4-H has been selected as a participant of the No Limits project. Through partnership with the Williamson County Library, Williamson County 4-H instructor Jennifer Hartsell Stockdale will lead four No Limits STEM workshops, two of which will be for girls-only. These workshops are for girls ages 8-12. Please register for only ONE session. Parents must remain in the library during the workshop.

    If researching your family history is one of your New Year's resolutions, why not start here with our Introduction to Ancestry.com class? Ancestry.com is one of the most powerful and user friendly genealogy tools available. Our patrons can access the world version free (at the library) with a WCPL card. This guided introduction will cover the basics of using Ancestry.com to search through census and other records to find your ancestors, as well as a few tips and tricks to help get more accurate results from your searches. Please Note: Basic experience in using a computer and mouse is necessary to benefit from this class. If using a computer is new to you, please contact the Reference Department for Introduction to Computer classes. Space is limited.
