  1. The 2020 African American History Month Exhibit -- The Bostick Family: A Journey to Freedom

    February 1, 2020 - February 29, 2020 @ Williamson Room

    The African American Heritage Society's 2020 African American Exhibit, THE BOSTICK FAMILY: JOURNEY TO FREEDOM, will be on display during the entire month of February in the Special Collections Department on the second floor. There will also be special displays in the cabinets next to the elevator. Please join us during library hours to view the exhibit. On Saturday, February 7, at 10:00 a.m., Tina Jones will present a lecture on the Bostic family and how she traced their lines. Come and here about the Bostics from Williamson County and their journey which took them to Illinois.

  2. Garden Talk Series: Some Seeds Like it Rough

    We will learn about seed starting with a focus on seeds that need to be nicked, soaked, or stratified. Practice some techniques and bring a sample home. Presented by the Williamson County Master Gardeners Speakers Bureau.

Nolensville Public Library Calendar

  1. Love Bug Lapsit Registration Open

    February 3, 2020, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM @ Nolensville Public Library

    Required registration opens Friday, January 31 through Thursday, February 6 for the Winter Session of Love Bug Lapsit Storytime, which takes place on Fridays at 9:30 a.m. between February 7 and March 13. Registration is in-person only at Nolensville Branch Library, no phone calls. Designed for one-on-one parent-baby interactions, this storytime is for babies up to 18 months. Older children are not permitted to attend. One child per adult. Stimulate your baby’s senses, grow your baby’s brain, and begin early literacy with short books, songs, rhythm, and lap bounces while using manipulatives to reinforce learning. This program is tailored to the very short attention span of a very young, very specific audience and lasts 15-20 minutes. There will be an additional 5-10 minutes of Baby Book Share time at the end. Be prepared to sit on the floor in a circle.
