    Everyone is invited to join the Chattanooga State Community College's Humanities Department to celebrate reading and great book! Writers@Work 2020 will be online as it focuses on Daniel Wallace and his award-winning novel Big Fish. Our celebration of the book will take place September 21-25, and it, too, will offer a slate of free events via Zoom.   2. VIRTUAL PROGRAM Garden Talk Series: Shade Gardens

    September 21, 2020, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Online Program

    Gardening in a shady yard can be a challenge, but it’s also a wonderful opportunity to create a peaceful, calm retreat. Join us ONLINE as we explore plants that thrive in low light to full shade and their various soil and water needs. We’ll also look at pollinator plants and native plants for shady locations. We’re delighted to offer this program ONLINE so everyone can safely participate at home. The day before the event we’ll send a link to join on your phone, tablet or computer. Please check your email when registering so you’ll be sure to get the link. When you register, you can share questions you want our presenters to address during the program by typing them in the Special Needs box. Presented by the Williamson County Master Gardeners Speakers Bureau.

  3. Literary Ladies

    The Literary Ladies meet once a month on the third Monday evening at 6pm online to discuss the book for that month. Be prepared for some in depth literary criticism from a group of educated ladies. This month we are discussing Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton. Register to get the Zoom meeting password, and/or to be added to the Literary Ladies email group.

  1. September Take & Make

    September 1, 2020, 10:00 AM - September 30, 2020, 6:00 PM @ Teen Room

    Our inaugural take & make kit is here! This month we'll be making book hedgehogs! We'll supply the book, eyes, and nose. All you need is some glue and a good audio book to listen to while you're creating! Things to note: Kits are limited every month. To claim a kit, registration is required. You can pick it up either in the teen room or through Library2Go until September 15th. Please specify when registering which you prefer. After the 15th the kit will be put back into circulation and available to anyone to pick up in the teen room.
