Writers@Work 2020 will be online as it focuses on Daniel Wallace and his award-winning novel Big Fish. Our celebration of the book will take place September 21-25, and it, too, will offer a slate of free events via Zoom.     Are You Concerned About Voting Via Absentee Ballots? Join us online for our Absentee Ballot Q & A on Tuesday, September 22, at 11:00 AM Misinformation is rampant about the election process so we have gone to our local expert. Chad Gray is the Administrator of Elections for Williamson County. He will be available online to provide information about the absentee voting process and answer any questions from our community about voting in Williamson County in the upcoming election. We’re delighted to offer this program online via Zoom so you can safely participate at home. The day before the event we’ll send a link so you can join on your phone, tablet or computer. Check your email when registering so you’ll be sure to get the link. When you register, you can share questions you would like Mr. Gray to address by typing them in the Special Needs box.     Join us for “Healthy Living for Your Brain & Body - Tips from the Latest Research” ONLINE Tuesday, September 22 at 1:30 to hear about the latest research providing insights into how to make lifestyle choices that may help you keep your brain and body healthy as you age. Learn to use hands-on tools to help you incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging. The day before the event we’ll send a link so you can join on your phone, tablet or computer. Check your email when registering so you’ll be sure to get the link. When you register, you can share questions you want our presenters to address by typing them in the Special Needs box. If we can share your name with the Alzheimer’s Association, also indicate this in the Special Needs box. The Association will only use your name for statistical purposes. Presented by the Alzheimer’s Association Tennessee Chapter. Each presentation is about an hour long, so the second hour of each program will be devoted to Q&A.

  1. September Take & Make

    September 1, 2020, 10:00 AM - September 30, 2020, 6:00 PM @ Teen Room

    Our inaugural take & make kit is here! This month we'll be making book hedgehogs! We'll supply the book, eyes, and nose. All you need is some glue and a good audio book to listen to while you're creating! Things to note: Kits are limited every month. To claim a kit, registration is required. You can pick it up either in the teen room or through Library2Go until September 15th. Please specify when registering which you prefer. After the 15th the kit will be put back into circulation and available to anyone to pick up in the teen room.
