The Main branch provides free public access to computers and wifi (WCPL-Public):
- Public computers are available to patrons with a library card in good standing.
- Youth must have internet access permission from their legal guardian to use computers.
- Visitors may receive a guest pass for computer access while visiting the Main, Fairview, or Nolensville libraries to use the computers.
- Everyone must abide by the Computer Acceptable Use Policy.
Public Computers
- Desktop PCs are available for use in the Reference Department at the Main Library and at all Branch locations
- 2 assisted technology stations in the Reference Department
- Laptops are available for use at most locations
- 3 desktops in Special Collections
- 3 laptops are available upon request in the Teen Department
Microsoft Office
Library computers are equipped with Microsoft Office 2016. All offer free online access to all of our databases and the internet.
Printing
Printing is available for a fee from all library computers. Black and white / Monochrome printing is 10 cents per page, and color printing is $1 per page.
Scanning
Scanners are available for free at select computers. There is a flatbed scanner in the Reference and Special Collection departments. There is also a multi-page scanner on the Reference computer. Documents are saved to the desktop or documents folder and may be attached to an email (not provided by the Library). Computers reset after every use. They cannot be used as storage for personal files.
